IRIPI + Secrétariat du Conseil du Trésor du Québec
The Institut de recherche sur l’intégration professionnelle des immigrants (IRIPI) is a College Center for Technology Transfer in Innovative Social Practices (CCTT-ISP), which has the mission of contributing significantly to the collective effort in meeting the challenge of integration of immigrants into the Québec labor market and Québec society.
We collaborated within an interdisciplinary team in the creation of an online training course on Managing Cultural Diversity in the workplace targeting 3000 public service managers for the Government of Quebec.
Our role was to establish the creative strategy, the narrative, all layouts and means of interaction in order to encourage interest in the content and enrich the learning experience of the principles and tools presented.
First we established the content, the structure and flow of the online course within the SCT’s internal digital platform in collaboration with IRIPI. We suggested 3 modules each with an interactive quiz, an expert’s testimonial, a specific scenario relating to the topic covered in the module and a visual presentation in PPT.
Then we determined and developed a concept that served as a guideline throughout the online training, both visually and content wise.
The visual concept centers on the parallel between nurturing cultural diversity in the workplace and doing so for a garden to see it bloom.
Above all, considering diversity as an asset. Each module has custom made imagery that represents elements of nature, either plants or animals in connection with the specific subject addressed.
We collaborated with Saneera Dev, an Indian illustrator for all imagery of the training.
Finally, we produced the educational content (video, audio, illustrations, etc.) within that framework and within the limitations of their internal platform.
